The Night-Piece, to Julia features a silver full moon over the waves in the bay and a cluster of small, rocky islands. The original collage was created from my own hand-printed monotype papers and a rescued page from a set of antique books. This moody coastal scene combines printmaking and collage techniques for rich textures and gradients of color. It takes its title from a poem by Robert Herrick, which appears in the lower portion of the composition. Made from the same curated selection of printed papers, it pairs perfectly with other collages in this series, like “Smell of the Lamp.”
Prints and framed prints ship directly from our printer/framer with tracking, unless you have requested a signed one. Printed to order, so please allow time for printing, framing, and shipping as necessary. Turnaround time can vary a bit, but prints usually ship within 3–5 business days and framed prints within 5–7.
