Old Wife (original linocut, 9 x 9 inches)

This original linocut print of the “Old Wife” island in Five Island Provincial Park, Nova Scotia, was inspired by a trip there (and to the Elizabeth Bishop House where I had a residency week) in 2019. It has been created with oil-based Cranfield inks in our studio in Blue Hill, Maine, from a hand-drawn and carved block in battleship gray linoleum. 9 x 9 inch paper, image is approx. 7 x 6.5 inches. Signed and numbered by the artist in an edition of 50 on BFK Rives 250 gm natural white cotton-rag paper. Because each print is an original, please expect minor variations in the texture and inking as compared to the samples shown. These are unique characteristics of the hand-printing process that make your print one of a kind.
